  • About this painting:

The diptych painting, rendered in monochrome white with minimal touches of black, juxtaposes two sculptures:

The first panel, titled "Make Your Mark on Earth", depicts a sculpted hand surrounded by symbols representing the seven art forms: music, painting, sculpture, theater, cinema, architecture, and writing. This hand, poised as if about to create or grasp, symbolizes human creativity and the diverse ways we leave our mark on the world. The monochrome palette emphasizes purity and the potential of artistic expression, while the black accents draw attention to the  details of the symbols.

The second panel, titled "But Leave Only Footprints Behind", features a sculpted foot in motion, with only the toes touching the ground. This image symbolizes the transient nature of our physical presence and the importance of treading lightly on our planet. The foot's delicate contact with the ground suggests a mindful existence, where we strive to make meaningful contributions without causing lasting harm.

Together, the diptych highlights the balance between creative expression and environmental stewardship, urging viewers to make their mark thoughtfully and sustainably. (Created with ChatGPT).

  • This is a part of a dyptich, even though each piece can be purchased separately. Check out the second panel of the work HERE. Each wooden panel measures 10" x 10" (25 x 25 cm).
