FISH LEATHER CUFF WITH METAL RING CLOSURE.

  • 1 3/4 wide drum-dyed fish leather (carp) cuff bracelet with a glaze finish, backed with a faux suede band.
  • This cuff is adjustable to fit a wrist up to approx. 6 1/2 inches.
  • Handmade in Chicago by Delphine Pontvieux.

  • Fish leather is the second strongest leather known to man. Three strips of certain fish, 1/2 inches wide, braided together, can pull an automobile.
  • The fish leather we use is an environmentally friendly product - none of our products involve endangered species.
  • The fish leather we use for this particular bracelet is carp, esthetically favored for its wide, large scale pockets. The carps' skins come straight from the canneries to the fish tanning company located in Canada, which processes and dyes the skins into the beautiful leather that you see.
  • Uniqueness to every article, because of the distinctive scale pattern of the fish.
  • Reduced atmospheric pollution from the tanning process - the lime, lye and acids that are usually used to remove hair from skins are not needed for the removal of fish scales.
  • Reduced water pollution - fish skins from canneries would otherwise be thrown back into the water bodies.

    Measuring your Wrist Size:

    Wrist Size

    To find your wrist size, wrap a tape measure around your wrist where the bracelet or cuff would be worn and match the length to the size chart below. If a tape measure is not available, you can use a piece of string or paper. Just mark the length needed to wrap around the wrist and then use a ruler to take the measurement.

    Measuring your Wrist Size

    Take the measurement where the product will sit on your body, not tight but with no slack either.

    For custom orders, enter your size in inches or millimeters in the text box at check out (or mention it to me in a direct email).

    For regular orders, pick the size that matches your size the closest. You can also order a larger size if you prefer a looser fit.
